all grown up

I have officially graduated into adulthood. I will now eat tomatoes, well at least tiny cherry tomatoes cut into quarters ;-)

What foods are you enjoying this summer?

Fresh veggies from our garden: squash, tomatoes, basil, and green beans!

Hello! Ben & Jerry's was on sale at ShopRite for 3 for $5.00 ($1.66each). I had a coupon for $1.00 off of 2. PLUS if you purchased 3 ShopRite gave you a coupon for $2.00 off your next grocery purchase!!!

I love ice cream...and I LOVE a good deal!

Donny eats them now too. And drinks coffee. Never thought I'd see him do either;)

what a funny post.
but I totally relate. I still can't eat a tomato just so...has to be a thin slice in a sandwich or the cherry tomatoes, sliced in salad.

I tried kale this summer in a soup. The soup was yummy. I also bought some cabbage recently and made a waldorf salad to "force" myself to eat the cabbage.

Otherwise, what I've been REALLY enjoying is peach/blueberry crumble and iced coffees everyday, all day (homemade).

Ha ha. I can relate. I like all things tomatoey except for fresh cold slices in a sandwich or salad.

My summer fav's:
open-faced tomato and cheese sandwiches, peach and red raspberry cobbler, any meat that's been grilled, iced coffee, corn-on-the-cob, and homemade lemon bars.

I hope to someday enjoy tomatoes. This summer I tried artichoke dip for the first time ever! I actually liked it... a lot!
