Restaurant Review

It's been a while since a post, and even longer since a post with any substance. Sorry to disappoint-this is more fluff! Two weeks ago, Miguel and I went on a date. It had been a while, so we decided to get out and enjoy one of our last weekends together as a childless couple. We got massages at Spa in the Valley and then went to dinner at the new Cheesecake Factory in Towson. I know that Leanne just reviewed the restaurant, but that was before it opened. Our experience was a bit different.

Cons:
1. Parking was a nightmare.
2. We waited over 45 minutes to get a pager.
3. We then waited over 45 minutes longer to be seated.
3a. They do not have call ahead seating or make reservations.
4. It was loud and we were seated VERY close to the people at the table next to us.
5. The blueberry cheesecake was just so-so (my cheesecake, of course).

Pros:
1. The restaurant is connected to the mall from an inside entrance, which provided easy access to stores, etc.
2. Staff were friendly and quick once we were seated.
3. Food portions were HUGE.
4. The peanut butter cookie dough cheesecake was to die for.

Over all, the food was not worth the wait. I would definitely go again for dessert, which can be ordered carry out. There was a line, but it, at least, was moving quickly!!

That was our experience at the Columbia CF. But worse since we had already travled an hour to get there, it poured down rain so we traversed the parking lot soaking wet, AND we had a 4 year old in tow. The food was good, and service, too, but it was so loud it was hard to talk over.

Even when we were there, it was crazy how loud it was. We were trying to figure out if it was because we had a million servers at the server station next to us, or if it was the restaurant. Sounds like the latter.

My only other experience has been at the one downtown, and it was much like yours.
